Tandoori Chicken

  • 2 lbs (1kg) chicken, cut in pieces (use thighs)
  • 1 ¼ cup plain yogurt
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Combine yogurt and spices, mix well. Add to chicken and marinade for 8 to 12 hours. Cook in oven at 400F, wrapped in foil, for 30 minutes, then another 30 minutes on foil or tray (not wrapped). Can also be made on a grill (preferably).
